Osheaga 2013

by CHRISTINA DUN

Osheaga, one of Canada’s largest music festivals, has come a long way since its debut at Jean Drapeau Park in Montreal back in 2006. It’s grown into a huge annual event that draws crowds from all over the world.

This year’s headliners for the three-day fest were The Cure, Beck and Mumford & Sons. Other major acts included Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons, just to name a few.

Not only does Osheaga bring many different genres together for music lovers to experience and enjoy, but it’s also a fun way to discover up-and-coming artists.  With five stages scattered throughout the park grounds, there was something for everyone. From electronic dance music artists such as Porter Robinson and Baauer to indie rockers like Frank Turner, the line up was definitely made to please.
