Rihanna on the cover of Faze Magazine!
Ever heard of Howard Hill? Howard Hill is considered to be the greatest archer that ever lived.
He won 196 field archery tournaments in a row. It’s said he could hit a bull’s eye from 50 feet away and then split the arrow down the centre with his next shot. But if he were blindfolded and spun around, do you think he would still hit the bull’s eye? Of course not. There’s no way he could hit a target he couldn’t see, particularly when he’s pointed in the wrong direction!
Likewise, you’ll never get where you’re going if you don’t know where you’re going. And, as they say, when you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I’m sure you get it by now: you have to set goals for yourself. As tired as that sounds, it’s true. Do you think Lance Armstrong would have won the Tour de France seven times in a row if he didn’t have a goal? Would Bill Gates be the richest man in the world without a plan of action?
You need goals. You’ll notice high achievers have a clear sense of mission, focus, and dedication towards their goal.
But, first, they set a goal.. Now is the time to take charge of your life. Think about what you want. Not what you would like, but what you really, really want. Think huge. You can do it. Do you want to win a Nobel Prize? Become a star athlete? Create your own clothing line? Okay, that’s the target. Now to keep the target in sight, you need to do something EVERY DAY that gets you closer to reaching your goal.
Iconic motivational speaker Anthony Robbins outlines in his book Unlimited Power what he calls “The Ultimate Success Formula.” To get where you want to go, he says you must:
1) Decide what you want
2) Take action
3) Notice what’s working or not
4) Change your approach until you achieve what you want
Plan to do great things and you will!
