MARCH 2001

MAR 29--Canadian Music Week! A Faze team was checking out the band Igneous, out of Stratroy, Ontario. The show was one of several at the Cameron House, a Queen Street bar in Toronto. Igneous was formed a couple years ago featuring 19-year olds Jason (drums) and Kyle (lead guitar) and 14-year old vocalists Amanda (bass) and Michelle (rhythm guitar). Igneous is managed by the same Tennessee-based agency as The Moffatts.

MAR 29
--Editor Lorraine and Fashion Designer/Faze Consultant Alana Berry were part of a very special event for classy Canadian cosmetic firm, LiseWatier. Madame Watier herself was on hand and Lorraine was extremely impressed by the company's philosophy of putting out the best products possible even if they have to give up a part of their profit margin. A long-term reputation for excellence is their most important concern. LiseWatier is starting to develop a youthful line of cosmetics, Faze hopes to work closely with them in the future.

MAR 23
--Faze was at a news conference for an upcoming Teen Film Festival that takes place later this year.

MAR 4--THE JUNOS!!
Lorraine and Maya from FAZE were backstage with the Nelly, jacksoul, The Moffatts, Snow, Jan Arden, etc....lots of pics and interviews coming to the site soon...

FEBRUARY 2001

FEB 26--Part 1: RICKY MARTIN...FAZE was there in force at the special concert and party at the Guvernment nightclub in Toronto. Ricky put on a spectacular performance in front of about 1,000 fans, many of whom had won the trip to Toronto in countrywide Ricky contests. Didn't get to interview the Latin star...maybe next time. Had the best seat in the house though!

Our editor, Lorraine, gives the show 9/10: great band, great songs, great sound at the club, great dialogue with crowd, but she was disappointed that he only played 45 minutes...especially for people who flew in from out of town just for the show.

FEB 26--Part 2. THE TEA PARTY...The band officially released their special DVD Illuminations at an event at the IMAX theatre in Toronto. Helped by the thunderous digital sound and the 7 story high screen, the band members were there to talk us through the DVD collection of videos, and loads of other very cool band footage and interviews. FAZE sent Tea Party fanatic Jen A, Mark D and Webmaster Z to the launch.

JANUARY 2001

JAN 24--FAZE Magazine has been asked to be part of the PEPSI Challenge at concerts and other cool events across Canada this summer. Over 800,000 teens take the PEPSI and 100,000 will receive FAZE magazine as gift for participating.

JAN 21--Hmm...working too hard maybe? Somewhere along the line Webmaster Z has spent too many late nights, slept too litte. Seems he has a bad case of pneumonia (lung infection) and will be "chillin" for a few weeks (actually for a couple weeks Z was "boilin", with fever temperature of 105F degrees.

JAN 3--FAZE Webmaster "Z" heads off to the Caribbean for a little break...to soak up some sun and take in some local culture on the island of Tobago...sister island to Trinidad, home of Carnival, steel drums, calypso and soca music (example, "Who Let The Dogs Out?"
