I'm Watching the Rain

by Tai Tian, Makrham, Canada, Age 13

I'm watching the rain
Sliding down
Pouring out
I reach for you

The thunder
Rings in my heart
Echoes in my ears
I whisper to you

I touch your face
Run my finger own
Your cheek, porcelain
And wet

I wipe the tears
Falling from the sky
Hidden in your eyes
Blue

I whisper 'sorry'
For the thunder
Booming words
I screamed at you

The storm
Rages on
Inside
I am left changed
