We can't afford
To cool our halls
To build fans in rooms
So we sweat quite unnecessarily
As we take our finals in late June
And as I pass
Through these school halls
Felling fem in tank and tiny skirts
Complaining of humidity
Waving paper fan
I catch his blue-green eyes
Out of the corner of mine
And my blood runs hotter
Than any locker-lined hallway
With an unresolved, unfathomable desire
That only those under eighteen
Can truly appreciate
Calling All Creative Teens, Worldwide!
FAZE is creating an online space showcasing teens'
writing talent from across Canada and around the world.
