AnnaSophia Robb Is On Her Way

AnnaSophia Robb

One of Hollywood’s freshest faces, AnnaSophia Robb is on her way to becoming a household name.

After a few TV and commercial roles, she made her big-screen debut in Because of Winn-Dixie, followed closely with blockbuster hit Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the award-winning Bridge to Terabithia.

But the 15-year-old isn’t just looking for a career in family movies: “I try to get variation in my work,” she says. “Do different genres of film, try to play as many different characters as possible.”

She’s doing a good job so far, playing serious to silly and most recently, supernatural as an alien in Race to Witch Mountain. “It was really fun to create my character, because no one really knows what an alien is like,” she says.

But does being a teenager in Hollywood mean you miss out on a normal life? Not for AnnaSophia, who still lives at home and attends a local high school. “I have a really great, grounded family. They don’t treat me any differently.”

So where will we see AnnaSophia in 10 years? “Out of college, hopefully making films, maybe producing them.”

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for this rising star!
