Multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist, TOSHA DASH (aka Tasha the Amazon aka Tasha Schumann), along with her video-game-producing and lyrical-stylist partner, Icon the ANOMALI, make up this Toronto-based duo who came onto the music scene with their hit “Playboy.” Bringing intelligence back to the beats, they both rhyme and pop on and off the stage.
Their work with Beats.Mind.Movement—a non-profit music production program for at-risk youth—strives to instill a different side of hip hop and pop, and show that it’s okay to have a different kind of sound. “We like to encourage people to become more articulate; you may have something really dark and really true to say about your hood, but say it in a way that people will remember it,” says Tosha.
