The All-American Rejects On Tour

All-American Rejects

The All-American Rejects are miles away from their regular lives in Oklahoma.

While some people cringe at the idea of being trapped on a bus for weeks at a time, drummer Chris Gaylor appreciates the experience while he’s on tour. “You can go on tour and sit in a hotel room or on the bus all day, or you can go out and see whatever town you’re in,” he says.

Instead of getting disgruntled over demands for interviews or appearances, Chris takes things lightly and makes the tour enjoyable by visiting local comic book shops. Hopping on a plane to travel the world and play for adoring fans is daily reality for Chris and his band mates Nick Wheeler, Tyson Ritter, and Mike Kennerty.

So how does it not get boring? Chris takes it all in. “The more I see, the more I want to see,” he says. “When we’re not on tour I’m like, ‘Aw, man, maybe we should go here…’ —the places we don’t tour to. It’s kinda made me hungry to see everything I can and experience as much as I can.” Chris laughs, “I’m a pretty big fan of Earth.”
