The
Autumn Leafby
Michelle L, Ontario, Canada, Age 12
It flowed
around our feet,
Giving
us its friendly greet,
We stepped
on them because we ignored,
They
made us feel bored.
Would
you like it to be treated like thin air,
Because
nobody cared?
Winter
quickly came,
The joyful
leaf became tame,
It sat
on the cold ground,
With
the crisp snow all around,
It was
put to rest by mother nature.
This
leaf that was born in the spring,
Which
was carried by the wind that would sing,
Left..
Now do you care?
When
you look at a leaf, smile,
At least
for a little while,
You and
the leaf will be more happy in the soul
