Determination
by
Nicole
M,
Colorado, USA, Age 14
He wasn't a quiet person,
But very expressive.
When his father spoke,
He listened with understanding and curiosity.
Every morning knowing they were out there,
Trying to hurt him and many others.
Day after day after day,
This man never gave up and kept fighting,
Believing it was the right thing to do.
Fighting the men
Not with weapons,
But with words.
Many people died
But he was determined
Never to give up until he reached his goal,
Peace
He spent time in jail, severe beatings
He lived through it all.
Few listened to what he wished,
Peace
But when
those few listened
They understood
What humanity truly was...
Friendship
One day he was heard by many
It took only one line
One line that would change the lives
Of many people all over the world,
I have a dream.
