Whisper
of the Ashesby
Daniel C, Toronto, Canada, Age 17
The green valley is burned by scorching lava
Saved by Rain
Regrows to the lushness
Regrows to the lushness
Reborn with beauty and vitality
The Green feels the heat descending rapidly
She bends towards the warmth, embracing her affection
Lava burns mercilessly once again
But the fiery temptress is defeated by Rain
The Green still seeks the flames
Still yearns for her embrace
Yearns for the seductive touch
But the Green eventually finds Rain
Will never fall
Will never save her from Fire
And she will become nothing but charred
Grey ashes blowing across the once green valley
